MMMM MMMM GOOD! Home made Pumpkin Bread!
Fresh from the oven warm and so yummy.
I've made this bread now for the last 4 or so years, it all starts in
October and runs through Christmas. It's one of our favorites but
of coarse we have those who want theirs without raisins, those
who want it without nuts, and even those who want no raisins

we like. LOL Mine always has both raisins and nuts.

PRECIOUS MEMORIES
I just had to share this pic of our Brittanie and her sweet hubby Cory.
They were married on September 17, 2005 and are very happy.
They have no children yet but have been talking about trying so we're
all very excited about that.
They attend church at Faith Temple Penticostal Church of God in
Duncan, Oklahoma and are both very active and involved in their church.
Cory runs the sound system and Brittanie sings in the praise and worship team.
They're both active and participate in youth ministries.
They have many friends and are always involved in activities and sharing
good times with those friends and love them all very much.
They are both also very rich with family and are always helping do what they can
when they can for their families.
Brittanie loves visiting with friends and family and she's always making the rounds
to everyones house checking on them and making sure everyone is ok.
She loves singing (it's her biggest hobby and joy), cooking, and helping anyone she can.
Cory loves being with friends and family. He loves fishing, hunting, and all sports.
He works a lot but when he's not working he's always busy doing something.
He works as much as possible with the church or members of the church.
They are both very special and we love them so much.
THEN:
One day Brittanie was waiting for Cory to make it home from work, it
was a Sunday and was homecoming at their church.
She was rushing around getting ready but couldn't reach Cory on the phone.
She calls everyone she can think of to see if they've heard from him but no one had.
Cory's parrents knock on her door they can't reach him either, now the calls start
going out everyone is looking for him.
Then another knock on her door and a uniformed man stands outside.
There's been a accident Cory didn't make it.
WHAT!!!! we can't believe it, it's not true, not our Cory, it just can't be.
Devistation sets in HOW? WHEN? WHERE? WHY?
No one can breath, tears flow like water, everyone's gathering, so many people,
Brittanie in shock, we all huddle together in the yard and wait for reasons, pray for answers!
Answers start to come in bits and pieces, Cory was driving to the next job his boss in truck with him.
Another truck is coming straight at them Cory swerves to get clear of the truck but it hits them head on.
We wait for reports on how it happened and why.
The answer comes the other truck driver was at fault.
HE WAS DRUNK!!!
Driving a big truck and drunk! It's not fair why our Cory!
Our sweet son Cory (not our son in law he was our son) was gone.
Taken from us at the age of 26, such a wonderful man and sweet spirit snatched
from us by a drunk driver. No, it doesn't make sense, No it's not fair, No we don't understand.
But it's our loss to bear and something we still work to get through on a daily basis!
PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF EVERYONE YOU LOVE AND WHO LOVE YOU AND ALL
THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW YOU AND YOU DON'T KNOW
PLEASE PLEASE
THINK!!!!
BEFORE YOU GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF A VEHICLE
DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE
A tribute to Cory made and set up by the men he worked with.

YO YO DREAMING
This is the start of my Yo Yo table cloth. I'm a member
of a very sweet message board and this past summer
we did a Yo Yo swap. These are from all over the country,
but some are mine.
At first i must confess I thought.....now......what am I gonna
do with these. Then it hit me that I want to use them to
make a tablecloth for my country kitchen so I started to
sew them together. Now you've probably been wondering
why I titled this Yo Yo dreaming LOL well if you ever
tried sewing all these little circles together one by one you'll
figure it out. LOL This is gonna take a while to finish so
I'm dreaming of the day I get it finished and when I do
I'll definatley post it her because it'll be quit the accomplishment
for me.
SWEET IMAGES
This birdhouse sits right outside my livingroom window.
Dad built it years ago and I just love it.
This summer we had a moma bird and her little ones living
in it and I would sit in my chair and watch her
feed them in the morning.

A WELCOME CHANGE
After spending too much time looking at this busy, old, understuffed sofa I decided the other day
it's time for a change, so I pulled out some fabric and a needle and thread and started sewing.
Took my old sofa from this.
To this!!! she's so much happier now....she's not perfect but for being only my second time trying this,
and being hand sewn she sure looks refreshed. It took 10 yards of fabric for the sofa and 3 yards for the pillows.
Just about 6 bags of stuffing and some pretty sore fingers but oh how I love my new sofa!!
A WALK IN THE YARD
Today Mom and I decided to take a walk in our yards and find some interesting things.
A very nice place to sit and relax, looks interesting to me. hehe
This sweet bench under Dad's version of a Gazebo looks so warm and inviting
on a cool fall day, the leaves are just starting to change.
While sitting for a moment I look up and see this view. I love the way the sun is just peeking through.
